Newsletter: Call for Submissions

We are currently looking for contributors for our TILE-SIG newsletter. We know that many of you are doing some exciting things in your classroom – now it’s time to share it with the rest of us!  If you think you might be interested in contributing to the TILE-SIG newsletter, please email Mike Putman (Michael.putman@uncc.edu) or Katie Stover (Katie.stover@furman.edu). Submissions are due by Sept. 1 and Feb. 1 for each subsequent publication cycle of the newsletter.

While we seek submissions for all sections of the newsletter, we are actively looking for submissions for the following sections:

Literature Reviews: This section may highlight a new book related to the use of technology and literacy learning. Word count should be between 1,000 and 2,000 words.

Digital tools: We’d like to highlight some of the tools being used in classrooms, so we are seeking 300-500 word submissions that describe the tool and some of its classroom uses.

Our goal for the newsletter is to eventually have it evolve into a electronic journal that utilizes a peer-review process. This will occur over the next 1-2 years. As a result, we are also seeking colleagues who would be interested in joining our emerging editorial review board. Use the email addresses above to notify us if you are interested.
